Kid’s Art Workshop: TetraPak Printmaking at the Mattatuck Museum

Young artists are invited to explore the creative world of printmaking during the Kid’s Art Workshop: TetraPak Printmaking on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 12 pm to 1 pm at the Mattatuck Museum.

This free, hands-on workshop introduces children to intaglio printmaking techniques using recycled TetraPak materials and water-based inks. Inspired by the exhibition About Face: 250 Years of American Portrait Art, participants will create self-portraits while learning about texture, line, and the printmaking process in a fun and environmentally friendly way.

The workshop encourages creativity, artistic exploration, and sustainable art practices, making it an engaging experience for young makers. Parent or guardian supervision is required throughout the program.
