A bold and comedic reimagining of a classic love story takes the stage May 5–10, 2026 at The Bushnell, 166 Capitol Avenue, Hartford, CT 06106.
& Juliet flips the script on Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, imagining what happens if Juliet chooses a new path instead of tragedy. This high-energy musical, created by the Emmy-winning writer of Schitt’s Creek, follows Juliet as she embarks on a fresh start filled with self-discovery, independence, and romance on her own terms.
The production features a soundtrack of popular hits from acclaimed songwriter and producer Max Martin, including songs like “Since U Been Gone,” “Roar,” “Baby One More Time,” “Larger Than Life,” and “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” Blending humor, heart, and pop music, the show offers a lively and modern take on a familiar story.
Evening performances take place at 7:30 pm from May 5 through May 9, with additional shows on May 9 at 2 pm and May 10 at 1 pm and 6:30 pm. The runtime is approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, including one intermission.
