An evening of world-class jazz performance comes to the Garde Arts Center on June 27, 2026 at 8 pm with the internationally acclaimed Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra led by Wynton Marsalis.

This special performance is part of the lead-up to Marsalis’ final season as Artistic Director of Jazz at Lincoln Center and Music Director of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. The celebrated 15-member ensemble has served as Jazz at Lincoln Center’s resident orchestra since 1988 and is recognized worldwide for preserving and advancing the art of jazz through performance, education, and global touring.

The orchestra’s repertoire spans classic works by legendary composers including Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Thelonious Monk, Charles Mingus, and Dizzy Gillespie, alongside original compositions and arrangements by current orchestra members.

The evening features performances by an acclaimed roster of musicians, including Ryan Kisor, Kenny Rampton, Marcus Printup, Vincent Gardner, Sherman Irby, Alexa Tarantino, Dan Nimmer, Carlos Henriquez, and Obed Calvaire, among others.

Born in New Orleans, Wynton Marsalis is one of the most influential figures in modern jazz. A Pulitzer Prize-winning trumpeter, composer, educator, and advocate for jazz culture, Marsalis has performed thousands of concerts around the world and remains a leading voice in preserving the traditions and future of jazz music.
