Inspire Center: New Theme at the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History

Explore history through creativity at the Inspire Center on August 2, 2026, from 12 pm to 4:30 pm at the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History. This interactive, hands-on space invites visitors of all ages to examine historical objects, spark their imaginations, and collaborate on creative problem-solving challenges.

The Inspire Center combines museum collections with design thinking, encouraging guests to look closely at artifacts and use them as inspiration to invent something new. With themes changing every other month, each visit offers a fresh and engaging experience.

August’s featured challenge invites participants to create a new way to hold things together, encouraging innovative thinking and hands-on experimentation while making connections to history and engineering concepts.

Admission to the Inspire Center is included with Museum admission. As part of the Museum’s Free First Weekend program, admission is free for all visitors on the first Saturday and Sunday of every month, making this an ideal opportunity for families to explore the Museum and its interactive exhibits.
