In The Now: Contemporary Figurative Art at Crown Gallery

The Crown Gallery at Metro Art Studios in Bridgeport presents In The Now: Contemporary Figurative Art, on view from March 30 through May 10, 2025. This exhibition features works in both 2D and 3D media by artists Traé Brooks, Faustin Adeniran, and Janice Mauro. Through their unique approaches to figurative art, the artists explore themes of identity, vulnerability, and resilience. The show draws inspiration from the words of poet and activist Audre Lorde, offering a powerful meditation on the human form as both personal expression and social commentary.

The opening reception will be held on Sunday, March 30, from 1 to 3 pm. Gallery hours are Thursday through Saturday from 12 to 4 pm, and by appointment.
