Ilya Yakushev, Piano at Veronica Hagman Concert Hall

The Danbury Concert Association presents pianist Ilya Yakushev on Sunday, March 22, 2026, from 3 pm to 4:30 pm at the Veronica Hagman Concert Hall, VPAC, 43 Lake Avenue Extension, Danbury, CT 06811. Doors open at 2:30 pm, and a meet-the-artists reception will follow the performance.

Acclaimed by critics and audiences around the world, Yakushev is known for his expressive artistry and dynamic interpretations. The program will feature a range of classical masterpieces, including Ludwig van Beethoven’s Sonata No. 8 in C minor, “Pathétique,” George Gershwin’s Three Preludes, and works by Franz Liszt including Consolation No. 3 and Mephisto Waltz.

Yakushev’s performances have drawn international praise for their technical brilliance and emotional depth. The New York Times has noted that “Mr. Yakushev can do just about anything he wants,” while the San Francisco Chronicle described his debut as “an astounding performance with vigor and vitality.”

Tickets are $25 for adults with open seating, and admission is free for attendees age 18 and under. The Danbury Concert Association is a nonprofit organization that presents a series of concerts each season featuring distinguished artists from around the world.
