HSO Masterworks Series: Winter Dreams at The Bushnell

The Hartford Symphony Orchestra’s Masterworks Series continues with Winter Dreams, a program that pairs classical elegance with modern innovation. Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 1, “Winter Dreams,” evokes the quiet beauty of a snow-covered landscape through lush melodies and atmospheric orchestration. The performance also features Curtis Stewart’s Seasons of Change, a contemporary reimagining of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons that blends improvisation, electronics, and recorded voices to reflect on climate change and humanity’s shifting relationship with the natural world. Stewart appears as the 2025–2026 Joyce C. Willis Artist in Residence.

Performances take place December 12 and 13, 2025, at 8 pm, and December 14, 2025, at 3 pm. The Bushnell is located at 166 Capitol Avenue, Hartford, Connecticut. Tickets are available through the Hartford Symphony Orchestra.
