Homeschool Open House at The Bushnell

Arts education and creative exploration are the focus of this Homeschool Open House designed for students and their families. Children will take part in hands-on workshops led by Bushnell Teaching Artists, exploring activities such as creative storytelling, music, cooking, textiles, and creative writing, while also enjoying a backstage tour of The Bushnell’s historic theaters. Parents will have the opportunity to participate in a comprehensive tour of the campus and learn more about arts-in-education programs available to homeschool families.

The open house takes place on February 17, 2026, at 9:30 am at The Bushnell, 166 Capitol Avenue, Hartford, CT. Admission is $12 per participant and includes two complimentary tickets to The Bushnell Children’s Theatre production of Pinkalicious: The Musical on March 19, along with access to discounted tickets for Bushnell Performing Arts Scholars’ production of Matilda Jr. The Musical on March 28 or March 29.
