Homeschool Open House at The Bushnell

Homeschool families with students in grades Pre-K through high school are invited to a special open house at The Bushnell to explore the arts in education opportunities available for their children. This free event offers a unique chance to engage with creative learning experiences and gain valuable insights into educational resources.
Begin the morning with a backstage tour of The Bushnell, followed by an information session for parents highlighting the arts education programs available. Students will participate in hands-on creative workshops led by The Bushnell’s master teaching artists, with activities ranging from visual arts to cooking. The event will conclude with a book fair featuring local authors, refreshments, and prize giveaways. Each family that registers and attends will receive two complimentary tickets to one Bushnell Children’s Theater performance.
Timeline:
- 9:15 am: Check-in and student workshop sign-ups
- 9:30-10:15 am: Backstage tour of The Bushnell
- 10:15-11:15 am: Parent information session and student creative workshops
- 11:15 am-12:00 pm: Book fair, meet & greet with authors, refreshments, and prize raffles
