Holocaust Remembrance Ceremony at Fairfield University

April 16 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Holocaust Remembrance Ceremony at Fairfield University

A meaningful afternoon of reflection and education will take place on April 16, 2026 at 3 pm at the Kelley Center Presentation Room, Fairfield University, 1073 North Benson Road, Fairfield, CT 06824.

Hosted by Fairfield University’s Bennett Center for Judaic Studies, the 2026 Holocaust Remembrance Ceremony will feature Dr. Shay Pilnik, director of the Emil A. and Jenny Fish Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Yeshiva University, as the keynote speaker. A scholar and author, Dr. Pilnik brings a deeply personal and academic perspective to Holocaust history, as the grandson of survivors and a leading voice in modern Jewish studies.

The ceremony offers an opportunity to honor the memory of Holocaust victims and reflect on the enduring importance of education, remembrance, and standing against injustice. The event is co-sponsored by Campus Ministry and the Jewish Federation of Fairfield County.

Admission is free and open to the public, though advance registration is required. To RSVP, visit fairfield.edu/bennett.
