Holidays on Main at Main Street

Old Wethersfield’s historic district will glow with festive spirit during Holidays on Main, an annual community celebration presented by the Wethersfield Chamber of Commerce. From 5 pm to 9 pm on December 4, 2025, visitors can enjoy an evening filled with seasonal charm, including live music from a WHUS DJ and emcee, holiday lights, and plenty of family-friendly activities. Santa and his elves will be on hand for visits at the Firehouse, and guests are welcome to bring letters for Santa’s Mailbox. The tree lighting is scheduled for 6:15 pm, adding a special highlight to the night.

Throughout Main Street, guests will find craft and food vendors, horse and wagon rides, ice sculptures, and a silent auction in the Webb Barn. Local shops and restaurants will offer extended hours and seasonal specials, and the Main Street Creamery will feature favorite holiday flavors. The evening also includes caroling by the WHS Choralaires, wine tasting, a beer tent, a pop-up farmers’ market, and tours of the Hurlbut-Dunham House.
