Holiday Open House at the Governor’s Residence

Celebrate the season at the 34th annual Holiday Open House at the Governor’s Residence in Hartford. Governor Ned Lamont and First Lady Annie Lamont invite Connecticut residents to tour the beautifully decorated residence and enjoy festive holiday cheer.
The open house takes place on Friday, December 6, and Saturday, December 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day. Admission is free, and no tickets are required. The Governor’s Residence is ADA accessible, and Santa Claus will be on-site to greet visitors. Guests will also receive a holiday recipe card from the Lamont family.
For added convenience, a free shuttle service will be available, operating every 15 to 20 minutes between the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History parking lot at 1 Elizabeth Street and the Governor’s Residence.
Highlights include:
- Live holiday music performed by local musicians throughout the event.
- Festive decorations generously donated by Connecticut organizations, including Christmas trees, wreaths, gingerbread houses, and ornaments created by students from local schools.
- Donations of new, unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots and monetary contributions for Operation E.L.F., supporting military families, are appreciated but not required.
