History Hike at Mattatuck Museum

Explore local history and the outdoors during the History Hike on June 8, 2026 from 10 am to 12 pm at the Mattatuck Museum, 144 West Main Street, Waterbury, CT 06702.
The guided outing will highlight Waterbury’s Phase 1 section of the Naugatuck River Greenway, a 2.2-mile trail stretching from the Naugatuck River Recreational Area on Platts Mill Road north along South Main Street to Eagle Street. The project also includes a new park and parking area located at the intersection of Platts Mill Road and South Main Street.
Participants will learn more about the history, development, and community significance of the Greenway while enjoying a walk through the area.
Transportation will be provided. Admission is free.
