Hidden History in Your Backyard at Weston History & Culture Center

The Weston History & Culture Center will host “Hidden History in Your Backyard” on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at 3 pm, featuring Maryclare Roos, the homeowner behind the Instagram-famous @peterthorphouse. This event is perfect for those fascinated by backyard archaeology, metal detecting, and treasure-seeking.
Following the discussion, guests can enjoy a wine and cheese reception to mark the closing of the exhibit “Weston…What Lies Beneath,” showcasing the many treasures excavated by Mrs. Roos on her antique property.
The event takes place at Weston History & Culture Center, 104 Weston Road, Weston, CT. Registration is encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. There is a suggested donation at the door.
