Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass & Other Delights at College Street Music Hall

Legendary trumpeter Herb Alpert brings his iconic sound to College Street Music Hall on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at 8 pm at 238 College Street, New Haven, CT 06510. This special evening features Alpert performing with his newly assembled Tijuana Brass ensemble in a celebration of the music that helped define a generation.

The concert commemorates the 61st anniversary of the landmark album Whipped Cream & Other Delights, with performances of many of its memorable tracks alongside other beloved hits. Audiences can expect classic favorites including “The Lonely Bull,” “Spanish Flea,” “A Taste of Honey,” “Mexican Shuffle,” “Tijuana Taxi,” “This Guy’s in Love With You,” “What Now My Love,” “Zorba the Greek,” “Ladyfingers,” and “Rise.”

The 90-minute performance offers more than a concert experience. Alpert often shares stories and answers audience questions about his career, the founding of A&M Records, and his work with legendary artists such as Sergio Mendes & Brasil ’66, The Carpenters, and Burt Bacharach. A large video screen will accompany the performance, displaying archival photos, video clips, artwork, and memorabilia from Alpert’s decades-long career in music.

A pioneering figure in popular music, Alpert has earned nine Grammy Awards, recorded more than forty albums, and sold more than 72 million records worldwide. As co-founder of A&M Records with Jerry Moss, he helped launch one of the most successful independent labels in music history. In 2006, Alpert and Moss were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and in 2013 Alpert received the National Medal of Arts from President Barack Obama.
