Harvest of the Sea at Mystic Seaport Museum

Join us at Mystic Seaport Museum for Harvest of the Sea weekend October 17th and 18th, 2020!
You can watch a traditional codfish split, learn about oyster farming, and see firsthand how people throughout history harvested food from the world’s oceans. Visit the Buckingham Hall House to see how people in the 19th century cooked and preserved their seafood, stop by one of our many fishing vessels to learn how fish were caught, transported, and sold, or stop in for a presentation by one of our guest speakers, Matthew McKenzie and Tim Pusack, on modern day fisheries management and preservation.
