Hartford Girls Rock! with Misty Copeland

Hartford Girls Rock! is an annual program developed to celebrate, inspire, empower and honor young women of the Greater Hartford community. The young women selected for this honor have been identified by local community-based organizations and represent the goals and standards of their respective organization. In the months leading up to this signature brunch the honorees participate in workshops on goal-setting, healthy choices, career exploration, self-empowerment and civic engagement.

This year’s guest speaker is Misty Copeland, First African American female principal dancer for the American Ballet Theatre.

The Foundation for Educational Opportunities, Inc. in partnership with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Epsilon Omicron Omega Chapter host its annual signature program and fundraiser, Hartford Girls Rock!
