Hammonassett Festival at Guilford Fairgrounds

The 2019 Hammonassett Festival will be on October 5th from 10 am to 5 pm and October 6th from 10 am to 6 pm at the Guilford Fairgrounds in Guilford.
Every year the Hammonassett Festival comes to the Guilford Fairgrounds for two days of celebration, education, and entertainment.
Each day will begin with a Native American prayer and smudging ceremony, followed by music, dance, art and craft vendors, exhibits and demonstrations, activities for the whole family, storytelling and a variety of food choices.
The Festival was founded in 2005 by Madison residents Dale Carson (Abenaki) and Don Rankin, to celebrate nature and Native American culture. The celebration honors the Hammonassett tribe that lived in the area, while raising awareness of indigenous culture and history, and fostering respect for the environment.
