Pets and owners can dress up on Saturday, October 28, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. and march behind the Southport Volunteer fire truck in the town-wide Halloween Pet Parade from the Five Corners in downtown Southport Village to Pequot Library’s Great Lawn. You don’t need a pet to participate!
The parade kicks off at 2:00 p.m. sharp, but the public can visit the Southport Fire Station Open House first from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Following the parade, enjoy some old-fashioned Halloween games on Pequot Library’s Great Lawn. Entertainment will be provided by Music for Children’s Mary Ann Hall and Friends. Prizes will be awarded for best pet and people costumes. All pets receive treats. No registration is required and the event is free and open to the public.
Free refreshments provided by the Connecticut Humane Society.
This event is cancelled in case of stormy weather.
