Great Mountain Forest Participates in Northwest Corner Gives

Support Great Mountain Forest and help double the impact of your donation during Northwest Corner Gives through July 22, 2026. As part of the Northwest CT Community Foundation’s biennial giving campaign, every donation made to Great Mountain Forest during the campaign will be matched dollar for dollar, helping advance conservation, education, and community programs across the Northwest Corner of Connecticut.

Great Mountain Forest encompasses more than 6,300 acres of sustainably managed forestland in Norfolk, Canaan, and Falls Village. The nonprofit serves as a center for forest stewardship, biodiversity conservation, climate resilience, scientific research, and environmental education. The forest also provides opportunities for hiking, cross-country skiing, and other outdoor recreation while supporting a diverse ecosystem that includes wildlife such as moose, black bears, and bobcats.

Donations made through July 22 will be matched, allowing supporters to maximize their contribution toward protecting forests and expanding educational and conservation initiatives for future generations.
