Goldfinger at Wien Experimental Theatre

September 17 @ 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Goldfinger at Wien Experimental Theatre

The classic James Bond film Goldfinger (1964), starring Sean Connery as 007, will be screened on Thursday, September 17, at 7 pm at the Wien Experimental Theatre at the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts. Presented in partnership with the British Film Institute, the screening is the first offering in the fall series Bond and Beatles: British Film Icons of the 1960s.

The third film in the James Bond franchise, Goldfinger remains one of the most celebrated entries in the series and is regarded as a classic of post-war British cinema. The four-film series explores how two British cultural icons that emerged in the 1960s, James Bond and The Beatles, helped transform the image of Britain around the world.

Each screening in the series will feature a short introductory video from a British Film Institute scholar, followed by discussion notes informed by BFI scholarship and a Q&A session with Fairfield University’s Jay Rozgonyi, an instructor in the Film, Television, and Media Arts program.

The Wien Experimental Theatre is located within the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts. Additional information about the screening and the Bond and Beatles series is available at the Quick Center for the Arts event page.
