Glow Wild at Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo
Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo will transform after dark with the return of Glow Wild Lantern Festival, running from Thursday, October 1, through Sunday, December 20, 2026. This year’s festival features an entirely new collection of illuminated animal lanterns, immersive lighting effects, and nighttime experiences throughout the Zoo.
Every lantern in the 2026 collection is making its worldwide debut at Beardsley Zoo. The intricately detailed creations form elaborate, diorama-like scenes featuring wildlife and environments from across the globe, from Africa to the Arctic. The animal-focused collection also includes a dragon for a touch of fantasy.
New lighting effects incorporating movement and sound will further transform the Zoo’s nighttime landscape, creating an immersive journey through the animal kingdom. The combination of lanterns, lighting, and sound is designed to offer a different experience for both first-time visitors and returning Glow Wild guests.
Timed-entry tickets go on sale to the public September 7. Adult tickets for ages 12 and older are $25 online or $27 at the gate, while children age 11 and under are $23 online or $25 at the gate. Tickets for adults age 65 and older are $15 online or $17 at the gate, and children age 2 and under are admitted free. Wheelchairs and strollers will be available for rent, and group booking information is available through the Zoo.
