Get Your Head in the Clouds!: A Fun Afternoon Learning about Clouds at the William Benton Museum of Art

Children can explore the science and beauty of clouds in this interactive program designed for ages 4–10 (parents are encouraged to stay). Inspired by the exhibition Clouds: A Collaboration with Fluid Dynamics, the afternoon begins with a reading of Connecticut author and illustrator Tomie dePaola’s beloved book The Cloud Book. After the story, participants will dive into a creative cloud-themed craft, using straws instead of paintbrushes to create unique cloud art.
This engaging event combines storytelling, art, and science to spark curiosity and imagination in young learners.
The program takes place Sunday, October 19, 2025, at 1:30 pm at the William Benton Museum of Art, 245 Glenbrook Road, Storrs, CT.
