Genealogy Workshop at Meriden Historical Society

An introductory workshop on family history research takes place on May 9, 2026 from 10 am to 2 pm at the Meriden Historical Society, 41 West Main Street, Meriden, CT 06451.

This beginner-friendly program explores how to trace family roots using a combination of digital tools and local resources. Participants will learn how to navigate popular online databases such as Ancestry.com and Newspapers.com to uncover census records, historical newspapers, and family connections.

The session also highlights how museum collections, archives, photographs, and local records can provide deeper context and insight into personal histories. Attendees will gain practical tips, search strategies, and guidance to begin building their own family story.
