Gardens by the Sea Garden Tour at Stonington Borough

A rare opportunity to explore some of Stonington Borough’s most beautiful private gardens returns with the Gardens by the Sea Garden Tour. Presented by the Stonington Garden Club, the walking tour features waterfront landscapes, formal terraced rooms, and intimate pocket gardens designed in styles ranging from classic to eclectic. The 2026 tour will showcase approximately nine to ten gardens along with ribbon gardens, all within walking distance. Distinctive botanical labels are included throughout, and many gardens will host on-site educators such as Master Gardeners, horticulturists, and landscape designers. Select gardens will also feature plein air artists at work.

The tour takes place on Friday, June 12, and Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm both days, rain or shine, throughout Stonington Borough in Stonington, CT. Tickets are valid for both days and are $50 when purchased online through June 7, or $65 if purchased on site during the event. Free parking will be available. A tented Marketplace at Wadawanuck Square will be open during tour hours, featuring garden-inspired vendors and community partners, and is free and open to the public. Tickets are non-refundable.
