Gallery Talks at Fairfield University Art Museum

A series of artist-led conversations continues this spring at the Fairfield University Art Museum, 1073 North Benson Road, Fairfield, CT 06824, offering audiences the opportunity to hear directly from artists featured in the exhibition For Which It Stands….
Upcoming talks include a session on April 14, 2026 at 12 pm with artists Richard Klein and James Prosek, and an evening program on April 23, 2026 at 5:30 pm with Danielle Scott and Imo Nse Imeh. Each talk provides insight into the artists’ creative processes, themes, and perspectives, creating a deeper connection to the works on view.
The exhibition For Which It Stands… examines representations of the American flag through more than 70 works spanning from World War I to the present. Featuring a wide range of media and artists, the exhibition invites reflection on identity, history, and the evolving meaning of national symbols.
Part of the America250: The Promise and Paradox initiative, this program encourages thoughtful dialogue around art and its role in shaping cultural understanding.
