Gallery+ Poetry Writing at Yale University Art Gallery

The Yale University Art Gallery will present Gallery+ Poetry Writing on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm.

Led by Lily Waterton, the Jock Reynolds Fellow in Public Programs, this workshop invites participants to engage with contemporary artworks through the creative process of poetry. A series of guided exercises in the galleries will inspire the writing of new poems, encouraging fresh perspectives and imaginative responses to the collection.

No prior writing experience is required, and all materials will be provided. Participants are asked to meet by the central column in the Gallery lobby. Space is limited.

Gallery+ is an ongoing series that brings artists, writers, and performers into dialogue with the Gallery’s collection, offering unique ways to experience art.
