Furniture Study Highlights Tour at Yale University Art Gallery

Discover the artistry and history behind centuries of American craftsmanship during the Furniture Study Highlights Tour at the Yale University Art Gallery’s Leslie P. and George H. Hume American Furniture Study Center. This special one-hour tour takes place on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at the Collection Studies Center on Yale’s West Campus.

Guests will explore an impressive collection of over 1,300 examples of American furniture and clocks spanning from the 17th century to today. The facility, which opened in 2019, also features an outstanding collection of contemporary wood art, providing insight into the evolution of design and function in American decorative arts.

Space is limited and advance registration is required; walk-ins cannot be accommodated. Registered participants will receive a confirmation email with directions to the site, which offers ample free parking.
