A beloved community tradition returns on May 8–9, 2026 at the Guilford Free Library, 67 Park Street, Guilford, CT 06437.
The Friends of the Guilford Free Library invite book lovers of all ages to browse a wide selection of gently used books, including hardcover and paperback fiction and nonfiction for adults and children. Shoppers will also find titles on art, cooking, gardening, and more, along with DVDs, CDs, mass market paperbacks, and jigsaw puzzles—all in excellent condition and offered at affordable prices.
The sale will take place on the library’s front patio and in the Meeting Room, rain or shine. Hours are Friday, May 8 from 9 am to 5 pm and Saturday, May 9 from 9 am to 4 pm.
Proceeds from the sale directly support the library, helping fund new books, community programs for all ages, technology upgrades, and staff development.
Community members are also encouraged to donate gently used books in saleable condition. A designated donation table is available at the library’s parking lot entrance.
