Fred Elser First Sunday Science: Where the Forest Meets the Sea at Floren Family Environmental Center
November 1 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Learn why coastal forests matter and how they support cleaner air, reduce urban heat, and provide habitat for wildlife. Kate Dzikiewicz, Executive Director of the Greenwich Tree Conservancy, will discuss the pressures on Connecticut’s coastal trees, the effects of their decline, and ways to protect and restore these landscapes. The lecture takes place Sunday, November 1, 2026, from 2 pm to 3 pm. Admission is free.
The program is held at the Floren Family Environmental Center at Innis Arden Cottage, Greenwich Point Park, Old Greenwich, CT. No beach pass is needed for lecture attendees; tell staff at the gate you are attending the Bruce Museum Seaside Center lecture.
