Flights of Fancy: Summer Sips
Raise a glass and explore the best of downtown New Haven during Flights of Fancy: Summer Sips on Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Presented by Downtown New Haven, this popular shopping, wine, and food crawl combines local flavors, unique boutiques, and exclusive promotions into one unforgettable summer evening.
Designed for food lovers, wine enthusiasts, and shoppers alike, Flights of Fancy invites guests to discover independently owned businesses throughout downtown while enjoying wine tastings, food samples, special discounts, and exclusive offers. Participants will visit approximately 20 tasting, sipping, and shopping locations across multiple downtown neighborhoods, creating a fun and interactive way to experience the city’s vibrant retail and dining scene.
Registration takes place in ZINC’s Garden Room, accessible through the alley on Chapel Street next to ZINC’s main entrance. Guests may select either a 4:30 pm or 5:30 pm registration time when purchasing tickets. Registration is available from 4:30 pm to 7 pm.
At check-in, attendees will receive a commemorative Flights of Fancy wine glass, an event swag bag, a required 21+ wristband following ID verification, and access to their first wine and food tastings. Guests who prefer not to participate in wine tastings may purchase a “Hold the Wine” ticket, which includes a swag bag and access to participating businesses and food tastings without the wine component.
Throughout the evening, participants can enjoy exclusive shopping promotions, food samples, raffle prizes, and opportunities to explore downtown New Haven’s unique collection of local businesses.
This event is ticketed and open only to guests ages 21 and older. A valid government-issued ID is required for entry and participation. Tickets are non-refundable unless the event is canceled.
