The Annual Five Senses Festival Returns to Litchfield County

The third annual Five Senses Festival, returns to Litchfield County, Connecticut July 30 – August 2, 2020. This beloved community event, presented in a safe, socially-distanced environment that creatively incorporates wellness guidelines into the overall guest experience.

The Five Senses Festival is produced by Washington Depot-based, world-renowned dance company Pilobolus and hosted by Spring Hill Vineyards. The festival features breathtaking art, music, dance, nature, food, ideas, activities, and conversation!

The annual Five Senses Ball, in support of the Five Senses Festival and Pilobolus, has been reimagined to kick off the festivities on Thursday, July 30 at 6:00pm as a Supersensory Celebration.  The headlining event for the evening will include a collaborative performance from renowned composer, conductor, writer and performer Rob Kapilow.  Gift bags will be provided to all attendees, including pre-packaged selections of curated snacks from local farms and purveyors, and a bottle of Spring Hill Vineyards wine to enjoy on-site, as well as additional beverage service.

The funds raised at the Gala, which kicks off the three-weekend schedule of programming, allow the event to offer free and low-cost programming to the community for the entire festival, welcoming people of all ages to enjoy food, music, dance, ideas, and art with refreshed senses from sunrise to sundown.

There are five main tracks of programming this summer, including Performance (primarily music and dance), Tent Talks (discussions meant to intrigue, expand and connect), Wellness (exercise, meditation, yoga), Kids and Family workshops (inspiring and inviting artists of all ages to participate) and Food and Drink.
