First Thursday Open House at the Benton Museum of Art

The Benton Museum of Art will host its First Thursday Open House, an afternoon of music, crafts, art, and community fun. Guests can enjoy activities in partnership with SHaW, WHUS, the UConn Library, and The Beanery Café.

From 3 pm to 6:30 pm, The Beanery Café will be open for drinks and snacks. Gallery events run from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm and include a live DJ with WHUS, visits with therapy dogs Oliver and Tori, a Halloween mask-decorating craft, an art scavenger hunt, and a library pop-up to borrow books. Visitors can also pick up an art sticker and shop with 20% off in the Museum Store throughout the day.

The open house takes place Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 4:30 pm to 7 pm at the William Benton Museum of Art, 245 Glenbrook Road, Storrs, CT 06269. Admission is free.
