First Gift Express: “The Snow Clipper” at Danbury Railway Museum

Celebrate the holiday season aboard “The Snow Clipper” for the First Gift Express at the Danbury Railway Museum. This festive event features a short ride in a vintage train through the historic railyard to meet Santa and Mrs. Claus, making it a memorable experience for all ages.
Held on Saturdays and Sundays from November 30 to December 22, the museum will be open from 1:30 pm to 9:00 pm. Trains will depart at 2:00, 3:30, 5:00, 6:30, and 8:00 pm, with evening rides offering views of the beautifully lit railyard. Due to high demand, reservations are required, and walk-in tickets will not be available.
Families can enjoy the festively decorated museum, including a Letters to Santa coloring station, operating model railroads, and historical exhibits. The experience concludes with a no-rush meet and greet with Santa, where kids receive their first Christmas gift. Parents can provide a pre-wrapped present or choose one from the museum’s online menu.
Admission is $25 per person for ages 2 and up, with free admission for children under 24 months. Guests can enjoy complimentary hot chocolate, cookies, and a stroll through the railyard after the event.
