Festival of Trees and Traditions 50th Anniversary at Wadsworth Atheneum
December 6 @ 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm
An event every week that begins at 12:00 pm on Sunday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, repeating until December 15, 2024
Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Festival of Trees & Traditions at the Wadsworth Atheneum from December 5 to 15, 2024. This year’s golden holiday event features a disco theme to honor the first festival held in 1974. The museum’s galleries will transform into a festive wonderland with holiday trees and décor donated by local artists, community members, and organizations. These beautiful decorations are available for purchase, with proceeds supporting the museum’s programs and operating expenses. Bring home the holiday cheer or donate your purchase to a local charity.
The festival kicks off with a special Holiday Social on Wednesday, December 4, from 6 to 9 pm. This 21+ event includes an evening of holiday fun, an ugly holiday sweater contest, and the chance to purchase trees while enjoying seasonal treats and holiday-inspired drinks. Tickets for the Holiday Social are $45 ($35 for members).
Hours: Thursday, December 5–Sunday, December 15, from noon to 5 pm daily (closed Monday–Wednesday). Open until 7 pm on Thursday, December 12.
