February Vacation Science at Talcott Mountain Science Center

Vacations should be fun, and so should learning. That’s why students love spending some of their vacation week with Talcott Mountain Science Center! Two- or three-day programs for grades K-3 and 4-8 keep your child’s sense of discovery and accomplishment going strong!
Talcott offers a wide array of programs that vary seasonally, everything from robotics to green energy, from nature to chemistry, from coding to geocaching – to keep your child engaged and inspired to learn. They’ll have a blast and learn a lot!
Monday & Tuesday, February 18 & 19, 10AM – 4PM.
Each course is $120 for members, $135 for non members.

Game of Codes
Work with Scratch, Blockly and Ozobots as a tech
wizard to learn how to make powerful things. Build your
skills in science, math and logic to make games,
graphics and more!
Cloudy with a Chance of Science
Ever wondered why it snows one day and rains the next? Why do snowflakes all look different? Come learn about
the science behind rain, snow, clouds and much more!
Test your ability to identify clouds, forecast the weather & create your own winter precipitation!
Grades 4-8 (choose 1)
Inside Out
Learn about animals from the inside out! Students will
perform dissections, assemble bones, learn about
organs, and test their own senses. Not for the squeamish!
Powersurge!
Why does electricity happen? How can you harness
the power of electricity to perform various tasks?
Explore this, and more, as we delve into the inner
workings of electricity and electronics, and a little
bit of “green energy”.
