Family Day at American Mural Project

Families can enjoy a day of fun, creativity, and hands-on learning at American Mural Project’s Family Day on Saturday, March 8, 2025. Featuring an engaging lineup of interactive activities, children of all ages can participate in games, storytimes, and art projects while exploring the “art of work.”
Older kids can take part in AMP’s Teen Art Studio, a creative makerspace designed for ages 13 to 18, led by a teaching artist. A materials fee of $5 applies, or participation is free with an AMP Annual Student Pass ($25).
This Family Day highlights the wonders of geology with “Who Works with Rocks and Minerals? A Geologist!” Visitors will uncover Connecticut’s ancient geological past, from towering mountains to its shifting place on the globe.
Family Days include free admission for kids under 18. AMP also participates in Museums for All, offering reduced admission for SNAP EBT cardholders.
The event runs from 10 am to 5 pm at the American Mural Project, 90 Whiting Street, Winsted, CT. Admission is $15 for adults and $12 for seniors.
