Family Activity Kits – New Theme! at Connecticut Museum of Culture and History

Families can explore Connecticut history at home with the museum’s Family Activity Kits, free take-home resources designed to blend creativity, learning, and hands-on fun. Each kit includes crafts, interactive activities, and images from the museum’s collection, all centered on a rotating theme that changes every other month. The January–February theme, “Creating Culture in Connecticut,” highlights the diverse Black communities across the state, including cultural traditions from Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Georgia, and beyond, and how these communities have shaped Connecticut’s cultural landscape.
Family Activity Kits are available beginning January 2, 2026, and can be picked up during all open hours at the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History, 1 Elizabeth Street, Hartford, CT 06105. Kits are included with the cost of museum admission, and no advance reservation is required. This is not an on-site program.
