Exploring-art-ism: Ships and Boats at Yale Center for British Art

Exploring-art-ism: Ships and Boats offers a creative, sensory-friendly morning for families at the Yale Center for British Art. Children ages five to twelve with autism or other sensory processing differences can explore the exhibition Hew Locke: Passages, where they will encounter the artist’s vibrant and imaginative boat sculptures. After time in the gallery, participants create their own model boats in a museum classroom, deciding what their vessels will carry and where they might travel. The program welcomes parents, caregivers, siblings, and extended family members.

This free workshop takes place on December 20, 2025, from 10:30 am to 12 pm. Registration is required. The Yale Center for British Art is located at 1080 Chapel Street, New Haven, CT.
