Exploring-art-ism: A Program for Children with Sensory Processing Differences at Yale Center for British Art

Children ages five to twelve with sensory processing differences and their families are invited to take part in Exploring-art-ism, a free and inclusive program at the Yale Center for British Art on Saturday, May 10 at 10:30 am. This welcoming experience allows participants to engage with works of art, develop social skills, and enjoy hands-on activities, including creating a touchable picture in a shadow box.

The session is designed to support focus and comfort, featuring a quiet room with sensory toys and a calm, supportive environment. The program is facilitated by the museum’s education department in consultation with the Yale Child Study Center.

Admission is free, and space may be limited. The Yale Center for British Art is located at 1080 Chapel Street, New Haven, Connecticut. For more information, visit britishart.yale.edu or contact the museum’s education department.
