Elm City’s Finest at Shubert Theatre

Comedy takes center stage at Elm City’s Finest on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at the Shubert Theatre in New Haven. This special event will showcase four standout comedians—Manny Sierra, William Leonard, Keerome Lawrence (aka KeeDolla), and Darnell Bloodworth, better known as Work—in an intimate cabaret setting that puts the spotlight on local talent.

Now in its third year, Elm City’s Finest celebrates New Haven’s vibrant creative community by featuring local performers from a variety of artistic disciplines. For this edition, the focus is comedy. Audiences will be seated at tables inside the theater’s cabaret-style space, adding to the relaxed and immersive experience.

Manny Sierra brings a blend of Hispanic heritage and witty observations to the stage, while New Haven native William Leonard delivers sharp, self-deprecating humor shaped by his start in Los Angeles improv. Keerome Lawrence, known for his lively stage persona and national touring experience, adds high-energy laughs, and Work, a comedian and actor raised in New Haven, brings charisma and streetwise stories to round out the lineup.
