Eileen Ivers and Universal Roots at Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts

An afternoon of high-energy Celtic music comes to Fairfield as internationally acclaimed fiddler Eileen Ivers performs with her ensemble, Universal Roots, on Sunday, March 1 at 3 pm at the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts at Fairfield University.
Widely recognized as the groundbreaking musical force behind Riverdance, Ivers has helped redefine contemporary Celtic music by blending traditional Irish fiddle with American roots, jazz, blues, and global influences. Dubbed “The Jimi Hendrix of the violin” by The New York Times and “the future of Celtic fiddle” by The Washington Post, she is known for electrifying performances and genre-defying musicianship.
Over a career spanning more than four decades, Ivers has toured and recorded with celebrated artists including Sting, Patti Smith, Al Di Meola, Hall & Oates, and The Chieftains. She was also a founding member of Cherish the Ladies. A Grammy-winning and Emmy-nominated artist, she has guest-starred with the London Symphony Orchestra, the Boston Pops, and more than 60 symphony orchestras worldwide.
Drawing from both her Irish and American heritage, Ivers creates performances that connect audiences across cultures and generations. With Universal Roots, she delivers an innovative and tradition-rooted concert that offers an early celebration of St. Patrick’s Day in Fairfield County.
The performance takes place at the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts, Fairfield University, 1073 North Benson Road, Fairfield, CT 06824. For tickets and additional information, visit quickcenter.fairfield.edu.
