Docent Tour | William Blake: Burning Bright at Yale Center for British Art

Discover the visionary world of William Blake during a docent-led tour exploring key examples of his imaginative art and poetry. This special tour highlights the Yale Center for British Art’s exceptional Blake holdings, including illuminated books, watercolors, and hand-colored prints. Guests will learn how Blake masterfully fused image and text to express radical ideas about religion, politics, and the human spirit during a time of global upheaval.

Led by one of the museum’s dedicated volunteer educators, the tour provides insightful commentary and invites discussion about Blake’s life and work. Tours begin in the Entrance Court by the Visitor Services desk and last approximately 45 minutes.

The event takes place on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 3:00 to 3:45 pm at the Yale Center for British Art, 1080 Chapel Street, New Haven, Connecticut. Admission is free and open to the public.
