Docent Tour: William Blake at Yale Center for British Art

The Yale Center for British Art presents a docent-led tour highlighting the visionary world of William Blake. Known for his illuminated books, watercolors, and hand-colored prints, Blake combined image and text to explore radical ideas about religion, politics, and the human spirit during a time of great change. Guests will discover key works from the museum’s extraordinary Blake collection and gain insight into one of the most original and enigmatic figures in British art.
The tour will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025, from 3 pm to 3:45 pm. Tours meet in the Entrance Court by the Visitor Services desk at the Yale Center for British Art, 1080 Chapel Street, New Haven, Connecticut. Each 45-minute tour is guided by volunteer museum educators who bring their own perspectives to the collection and the building designed by architect Louis I. Kahn.
