Docent Tour: The Architecture of the YCBA at Yale Center for British Art

Explore the renowned architecture of the Yale Center for British Art during a docent-led tour highlighting the work of modernist architect Louis I. Kahn (1901–1974). This guided experience offers visitors an in-depth look at one of Kahn’s most celebrated buildings, featuring thoughtful design elements that reflect both function and artistic vision.

Tours begin in the Entrance Court by the Visitor Services desk and run approximately 45 minutes. This program takes place on Sunday, June 8, 2025, at 3:00 pm at the Yale Center for British Art, 1080 Chapel Street, New Haven, Connecticut.

The museum’s vibrant team of volunteer docents provide engaging insights and invite open dialogue about the building’s design and its relationship to the collections it houses. Admission is free and open to all. For more information, visit britishart.yale.edu.
