Docent Tour: The Architecture of the YCBA at Yale Center for British Art

Visitors can take a closer look at the architecture of the Yale Center for British Art during a docent-led tour on Sunday, September 28, 2025, from 3 to 3:45 pm. This in-depth experience highlights the museum’s iconic building, designed by renowned modernist architect Louis I. Kahn (1901–1974).

Led by volunteer museum educators, the tour offers insights into Kahn’s vision and design while encouraging dialogue about the building’s distinctive features and its role in housing the museum’s collection. Tours meet in the Entrance Court by the Visitor Services desk and last approximately 45 minutes.
