Docent Tour: J. M. W. Turner – Romance and Reality at Yale Center for British Art

The Yale Center for British Art in New Haven will offer a docent-led tour of J. M. W. Turner: Romance and Reality on Saturday, June 28, at 3:00 pm. This special exhibition highlights the museum’s extraordinary Turner collection—the most extensive outside the United Kingdom—featuring iconic oil paintings, watercolors, and prints.

Guests will explore how Turner’s revolutionary use of light, color, and atmosphere redefined landscape painting and continues to influence artists today. Led by the museum’s knowledgeable volunteer educators, the 45-minute tour invites conversation and discovery, starting from the Entrance Court near the Visitor Services desk.
