Docent Tour: Hew Locke at Yale Center for British Art

Visitors can explore the work of contemporary artist Hew Locke during this docent-led tour at the Yale Center for British Art. The tour highlights Locke’s compelling visual approach to themes of identity, migration, and the lasting influence of colonial histories. Guests will learn about the artist’s use of sculpture, photography, and found materials to reinterpret symbols of empire and examine how these icons continue to shape cultural narratives.

The tour takes place on December 7, 2025, from 1 pm to 1:45 pm. Participants will meet in the Entrance Court by the Visitor Services desk.
