Docent Tour | Collection Highlights at Yale Center for British Art

An engaging overview of British art across five centuries is offered through this docent-led tour at the Yale Center for British Art. Led by volunteer museum educators, the tour highlights works featured in In a New Light: Five Centuries of British Art, a reimagined installation spanning from the sixteenth century to the present. Guests can expect an interactive experience that encourages close looking, discussion, and new perspectives on the collection.

The tour takes place on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 2 pm to 2:45 pm and meets in the Entrance Court by the Visitor Services desk at the Yale Center for British Art, 1080 Chapel Street, New Haven, CT. Tours are approximately 45 minutes long and reflect each docent’s unique approach to interpreting the collection.
