Docent Tour: Collection Highlights at Yale Center for British Art

Discover the depth and beauty of British art during the Docent Tour: Collection Highlights at the Yale Center for British Art. On Friday, November 28, 2025, from 2 pm to 2:45 pm, visitors are invited to join volunteer museum educators for an engaging and interactive exploration of significant works from the museum’s celebrated collection.

The tour focuses on In a New Light: Five Centuries of British Art, an installation that spans from the sixteenth century to the present, showcasing masterpieces presented in a reimagined context. Participants will gain new perspectives on artists, themes, and movements that have shaped British art across five centuries.

Tours meet in the Entrance Court by the Visitor Services desk. The Yale Center for British Art is located at 1080 Chapel Street, New Haven, Connecticut. Admission is free and open to the public.
