Discovering a “New” Organ: Tales of the Interstitium (Talcott Mountain Science Center)

April 3, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Explore a new outlook on the inside of our bodies with Dr. Neil Theise as he discusses the importance of merging cultures and medicine.

His inspiration? The discovery of the “new” organ.

Completely new, large scale anatomy of the human body isn’t often found. The story of the unexpected structure of the human interstitium is as interesting as its implications for human health, disease, and medicine. Dr. Theise, the senior author of this work, will share that story, along with ways in which the interstitium may be key to bridging global cultures of health and healing, from Western medicine to osteopathy to Chinese medicine and beyond.
